security/gpgme: Update to 2.0.0
Upstream has split most of the bindings out into separate projects with this release, so the child ports that were previously providing various bindings are now autonomous and have new origins. The python bindings should have been called py-gpg for many years now, since 'gpg' is the actual module name, so this also corrects that issue. security/gpgme-cpp -> security/gpgmepp security/gpgme-qt -> security/qgpgme security/py-gpgme -> security/py-gpg gpgmepp and qgpgme have been converted to CMake. py-gpg is now a "fun" autotools and FreeBSD ports system hybrid. Gpgme, itself, still uses autotools, but with much less parenting (patching) to do for its emancipated children. Adjust several ports to fix API incompatibility with upstream patches and with some of my own. Adjust all consumers to use the new port origins of the former child ports. https://dev.gnupg.org/T7673 |

graphics/poppler: fix build with libc++ 19
As noted in the libc++ 19 release notes [1], std::char_traits<> is now
only provided for char, char8_t, char16_t, char32_t and wchar_t, and any
instantiation for other types will fail.
This causes graphics/poppler to fail to compile with clang 19 and libc++
19, resulting in errors similar to:
/usr/include/c++/v1/string:820:42: error: implicit instantiation of undefined template 'std::char_traits<unsigned short>'
820 | static_assert(is_same<_CharT, typename traits_type::char_type>::value,
| ^
/wrkdirs/usr/ports/graphics/poppler/work/poppler-24.02.0/cpp/poppler-global.h:101:43: note: in instantiation of template class 'std::basic_string<unsigned short>' requested here
101 | class POPPLER_CPP_EXPORT ustring : public std::basic_string<unsigned short>
| ^
/usr/include/c++/v1/__fwd/string.h:23:29: note: template is declared here
23 | struct _LIBCPP_TEMPLATE_VIS char_traits;
| ^
Upstream poppler has fixed this in commit b4ac7d9a [2], so add it as a
PATCHFILES entry in the Makefile, until the next version of poppler is
released.

Remove WWW entries moved into port Makefiles
Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on WWW: lines in pkg-descr files. This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these pkg-descr files. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner) |

Add WWW entries to port Makefiles
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources. Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the port specific URL to further information. There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time. This commit implements such a proposal and moves one of the WWW: entries of each pkg-descr file into the respective port's Makefile. A heuristic attempts to identify the most relevant URL in case there is more than one WWW: entry in some pkg-descr file. URLs that are not moved into the Makefile are prefixed with "See also:" instead of "WWW:" in the pkg-descr files in order to preserve them. There are 1256 ports that had no WWW: entries in pkg-descr files. These ports will not be touched in this commit. The portlint port has been adjusted to expect a WWW entry in each port Makefile, and to flag any remaining "WWW:" lines in pkg-descr files as deprecated. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner) |

graphics/poppler: make boost a build-time dependency
Poppler uses Boost small-vectors for efficiency (over std::vector) when the Splash renderer is enabled. Small-vectors are header-only, so there is no need to depend on the whole boost-libs at runtime. The PR asks to drop Boost entirely; we're not going to do that, but as a build-dep it avoids installed-size bloat. Bump PORTREVISION also of related ports to make sure they are rebuilt; don't need to re-do all consumers because Boost was not linked anyway. PR: 256821 |

Update poppler to 0.72
This update brings many changes - the build system has switched to cmake - some ports needed to be switched to use their bundled version of poppler: - print/tex-luatex (r487226) - print/tex-xetex (r487226) - editors/opeonffice-devel - Qt4 support has been dropped - print/frescobaldi has been removed for this reason. - most of the added patches can be removed with the next upgrade of the concerning port. Bump PORTREVISION for ports depending on the canonical version of GCC defined via Mk/bsd.default-versions.mk which has moved from GCC 7.4 t GCC 8.2 under most circumstances.
This includes ports - with USE_GCC=yes or USE_GCC=any, - with USES=fortran, - using Mk/bsd.octave.mk which in turn features USES=fortran, and - with USES=compiler specifying openmp, nestedfct, c11, c++0x, c++11-lang, c++11-lib, c++14-lang, c++17-lang, or gcc-c++11-lib plus, as a double check, everything INDEX-11 showed depending on lang/gcc7. Update Qt5 to 5.7.1, and unify the Qt4 and Qt5 ports some more
* Update Qt5 to 5.7.1
* Move Qt4 binaries to lib/qt4/bin
* Move Qt5 libraries to lib/qt5/lib
By moving the libraries we should finally be able to get rid of the inplace
upgrade bug (see ports bugs 194088, 195105 and 198720): when Qt5's libraries
were lying in /usr/local/lib, which would often get added by pkgconfig to the
linker paths via dependencies, the already installed libraries were linked
against, instead of the ones that were being built. This forced us to make
sure, that -L${WRKSRC}/lib was always coming before -L/usr/local/lib in the
linker flags. With this change this should no longer be the case.
* Rename some ports to match the rest (foo-qtX -> qtX-foo)
* Depend on new port misc/qtchooser [see UPDATING & CHANGES]
There are several new Qt5 ports which all have been created by Marie Loise Nolden
<nolden@kde.org>. Thanks again.

Let USES=localbase add -L${LOCALBASE}/lib to LIBS instead of LDFLAGS. USES=localbase:ldflags can be used to set LDFLAGS. Normally LDFLAGS appears too early on the command line causing some ports to link with their own libraries in LOCALBASE (if installed) instead of WRKSRC.
Also make use of _USES_POST so -L${LOCALBASE}/lib is added as late as
possible after anything a port Makefile might set. Use _USES_POST
instead of .include in libedit.mk and libarchive.mk so things like
'USES=libedit localbase:ldflags' work correctly.
Fix some issues with LIBS in some ports.
Switch ports that don't support LIBS to localbase:ldflags.

When linking a library libA with a library libB using libtool, if libB.la exists, libtool will add all libraries libB.la refers to (dependency_libs field) to the linker command line and store them in the dependency_libs field of libA.la. So everything that subsequently links with libA will also link to these extra libraries. This causes too much overlinking.
This commit modifies Mk/Uses/libtool.mk so it empties the dependency_libs field in .la libraries during staging. However, because .la libraries have very limited use when dependency_libs is empty it makes sense to completely remove them during staging. So with this commit USES=libtool is modified to remove .la libraries and a new form (USES=libtool:keepla) is introduced in case they need to be kept (dependency_libs is still emptied). PORTREVISION is bumped on all ports with USES=libtool that install .la libraries. Most ports are also changed to add :keepla because .la libraries have to be kept around as long as there are dependent ports with .la libraries that refer to them in their dependency_libs field. In most cases :keepla can be removed again as soon as all dependent ports that install .la libraries have some form of USES=libtool added to their Makefile. NEW XORG ON FREEBSD 9-STABLE AND 10-STABLE This update switches over to use the new xorg stack by default on FreeBSD 9 and 10 stable, on osversions where vt(9) is available. It is still possible to use the old stack by specifying WITHOUT_NEW_XORG in /etc/make.conf . FreeBSD 8-STABLE and released versions of FreeBSD still use the old version. A package repository with binary packages for new xorg will be available soon. This patch also contains updates of libxcb and related ports, pixman, as well as some drivers and utilities. Bump portrevisions for xf86-* ports, as well as virtualbox-ose-additions due to xserver version change. Apart from these updates, the way shared libraries are handled has been changed for all xorg ports, as well as libxml2 and freetype, which means ltverhack is gone and as a consequence shared libraries have been bumped. The plan is that this change will make library bumps less likely in the future. All affected ports have had their portrevisions bumped as a consequence of this. Fix some issues where WITH_NEW_XORG weren't detected properly on CURRENT. Presenting GNOME 2.28.1 for FreeBSD. The official release notes for this release can be found at http://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/2.28/ . Officially, this is mostly a polishing release in preparation for GNOME 3.0 due in about a year.
On the FreeBSD front, though, a lot went into this release. Major thanks goes to kwm and avl who did a lot of the porting work for this release. In particular, kwm brought in Evolution MAPI support for better Microsoft Exchange integration. Avl made sure that the new gobject introspection repository ports were nicely compartmentalized so that large dependencies aren't brought in wholesale. But, every GNOME team member (ahze, avl, bland, kwm, mezz, and myself) contributed to this release. Other major improvements include an updated HAL with better volume probing code, ufsid integration, and support for volume names containing spaces (big thanks to J.R. Oldroyd); a new WebKit; updated AbiWord; an updated Gimp; and a preview of the new GNOME Shell project (thanks to Pawel Worach). The FreeBSD GNOME Team would like to that the following additional contributors to this release whose patches and testing really helped make it a success: Andrius Morkunas Dominique Goncalves Eric L. Chen J.R. Oldroyd Joseph S. Atkinson Li Pawel Worach Romain Tartière Thomas Vogt Yasuda Keisuke Rui Paulo Martin Wilke (and an extra shout out to miwi and pav for pointyhat runs) We would like to send this release out to Alexander Loginov (avl) in hopes that he feels better soon. First all, ahze did most of work. Thanks ahze! Last week or so, I am just merely pick up and help him. Thanks to many testers in both private and mailing list emails for report a few of build and dependencies problems. Also, thanks to marcus and Chess Griffin for test in their tinderboxes.
x11/pixman: Update to 0.10.0 ------------------------------------------------------- Firefox 3 needs it. Orignal, the shared library was bumped and ahze has added a new feature in our USE_GNOME=ltverhack by can control the number of shared library. To control the number of shared library, add the ltverhack:N. Right now pixman has USE_GNOME=ltverhack:9 to make it stays same at libpixman-1.so.9. If anyone want to use ltverhack:N in one of your port, you need to make sure the ABI doesn't change to use it.. ------------------------------------------------------- graphics/cairo: Update to 1.6.4 ------------------------------------------------------- Firefox 3 needs it. We have updated most cairo binding ports too. ------------------------------------------------------- graphics/poppler: Update to 0.8.3 ------------------------------------------------------- The shared libraries version have been changed. All ports that depend on poppler have PORTREVISION bump. The graphics/py-poppler has been updated to 0.8.1 to work with newer poppler better. As for the poppler-qt, there is no shared library version change. ------------------------------------------------------- www/firefox3 and gecko ports related: Update to 3.0 final ------------------------------------------------------- The bsd.gecko.mk has been moved from www/mozilla/ to Mk/. You no longer need to include bsd.gecko.mk/Makefile.common by manual. We are keeping it in backward compatibility, so the rest ports won't be break. We haven't add some other ports to have Firefox 3 support yet, so feel free to send us patch or commit it by yourself (to committers). However, view in bsd.gecko.mk for document. ------------------------------------------------------- Approved by: portmgr (marcus) |

- Set --mandir and --infodir in CONFIGURE_ARGS if the configure script supports them. This is determined by running ``configure --help'' in do-configure target and set the shell variable _LATE_CONFIGURE_ARGS which is then passed to CONFIGURE_ARGS. - Remove --mandir and --infodir in ports' Makefile where applicable Few ports use REINPLACE_CMD to achieve the same effect, remove them too. - Correct some manual pages location from PREFIX/man to MANPREFIX/man - Define INFO_PATH where necessary - Document that .info files are installed in a subdirectory relative to PREFIX/INFO_PATH and slightly change add-plist-info to use INFO_PATH and subdirectory detection.

Presenting GNOME 2.16.1 for FreeBSD. This release represents a massive amount of work by the FreeBSD GNOME Team and our testers.
On top of the usual GNOME update, we have taken this opportunity to move GNOME from X11BASE to LOCALBASE. This means roughly 600 ports NOT part of the GNOME Desktop also need to be changed. The bulk of the move was carried out by ahze, mezz, and pav, but it would not have been possible without cooperation from the FreeBSD KDE team who worked with us to make sure GNOME and KDE can still coexist happily. We would also like to send a shout out to kris and pointyhat for putting up with multiple test runs until we got something that was solid. Back to GNOME 2.16. This release brings a huge amount of new functionality to FreeBSD. The standard release notes can be read at http://www.gnome.org/start/2.16/ . But on top of what you will read there, jylefort and marcus have completed work on a port of HAL to FreeBSD. This will allow FreeBSD to take advantage of closer hardware interaction such as auto-mounting CD-ROMs, USB drives, and music players; auto-playing audio CDs; and managing laptop power consumption. But where would this all be without our loyal testers and contributors? Therefore, the FreeBSD GNOME team would like to thank the following users: Phillip Neumann <pneumann@gmail.com> tmclaugh mux Yuri Pankov <yuri.pankov@gmail.com> chinsan Thomas <freebsdlists@bsdunix.ch> Brian Gruber <knightbg@yahoo.com> Franz Klammer <klammer@webonaut.com> Dominique Goncalves <dominique.goncalves@gmail.com> Pascal Hofstee <caelian@gmail.com> Yasuda Keisuke <kysd@po.harenet.ne.jp> backyard <backyard1454-bsd@yahoo.com> Andris Raugulis <endrju@null.lv> <endrju@null.lv> Eric L. Presenting GNOME 2.14.1 for FreeBSD! Checkout http://www.gnome.org/start/2.14/ for the official release notes, and a list of all the gooides in this new release. In particular, GNOME 2.14 focused on performance, and they did not miss the mark. There's some new eye candy, but most of the big things are waiting until GNOME 2.16. On the FreeBSD side, we tried to clean up all the crashers we could. In particular, we really improved GNOME's 64-bit support.
The good news is that this release does not bring any big shared library version bumps, so you can almost do a simple portupgrade to get to 2.14. There are a few minor gotchas that will be documented in UPDATING shortly. The FreeBSD GNOME Team would like th thank the following users for their patches, feedback, and sometimes incessant complaing about crashes (you know who you are). Presenting GNOME 2.12 for FreeBSD. The release is chock full of bug fixes and new features. Don't believe me? Then see for yourself at http://www.gnome.org/start/2.12/notes/en/.
DO NOT USE portupgrade by itself to upgrade to GNOME 2.12. Instead, use the gnome_upgrade.sh script from http://www.marcuscom.com/downloads/gnome_upgrade212.sh. This script will circumvent some potential pitfalls users can see if they use portupgrade by itself. In keeping with tradition, GNOME 2.12 for FreeBSD comes with a special splash screen. The winner of this release's contest is Dominique Goncalves <dominique.goncalves@gmail.com>. His splash screen was inspired by http://art.gnome.org/contests/2.12-splash/83.
